  • Strategic Cover: Mount your sanctuary within 10–15 feet of a shrub or small tree to provide fledglings a high-probability "First Flight" landing zone.

  • The 5-Foot Standard: Positioning the entry hole about 5 feet from the ground optimizes visibility for birds while remaining accessible for seasonal cleaning.

  • Window-Strike Prevention: Maintain a distance of either less than 3 feet or more than 10 feet from glass surfaces to eliminate high-velocity collision reflections.
