The Eldris works best as a compact companion rather than a miniature heavy-duty bushcraft knife. Its short blade offers excellent control for feather sticks, small carving projects, food preparation, cordage, and routine camp tasks, but it is not intended for forceful batoning or prying.

The secondary lock matters when the knife is worn around the neck because it prevents the sheath from releasing the knife if it is turned upside down. Confirm that the lock is fully engaged before carrying it in that position.

Clean and dry the blade after use, particularly after cutting food or resinous wood, and allow the paracord to dry before storage.
