Its 4.29-inch blade is easier to control during carving, food preparation, and close camp work than a longer field knife, while still offering the rigidity required for controlled wood processing.

The DLC coating adds protection, but C100S remains carbon steel. Clean and dry the blade after use, apply a thin coat of suitable oil before extended storage, and avoid allowing moisture to remain trapped inside the sheath.
