The Kansbol sits between a lightweight camp knife and a more specialized bushcraft tool. Its profile-ground blade gives it better slicing ability than many uniformly thick outdoor knives, making it particularly useful for food preparation, carving, and general camp work.

It is not built like the full-tang Garberg, so use controlled technique for demanding wood processing rather than treating it as a heavy splitting tool. Clean and dry the blade after use, especially after cutting food, sap-bearing wood, or working in damp conditions.
